But when it comes to enjoying games on a computer, the experience that you get by using a desktop is net superior and it is worth the money one may spend. PCs for high end gaming come with widely varying features, as a result of using different kinds of quality components. Here, we’ll talk about important features of a gaming PC:

System Case

You can get a desktop PCs in various sizes and shapes. Computers with a bigger case allow you to get several larger graphics, more hard drives, and sophisticated cooling arrangements. The most important part is the design of the motherboard, which gives numerous features. The limitation of such large cases is the fact that they occupy a lot of space and can dominate rooms of small sizes.

The number of computers having smaller Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards is increasing gradually. Their size is quite manageable. However, these are not adequate for users who like to double these up for graphic cards, or fit a larger

Don’t Know How To Clean The Printer Rollers? Take a Look

Posted on June 18, 2016 By

Clean The Printer RollersPaper dust, debris and dirt will slowly build up on the printer paper trays, cartridges, guides and rollers which are most likely to cause paper jam when printing invoices, business letters, business plan, proposals, legal contracts, board resolutions, policies, spreadsheets or any other business document. Therefore, it is highly recommended to clean the rollers of your printer on a regular basis. While cleaning the printer rollers, you should employ a safe technique which doesn’t destroy the rubber of the rollers.

Paper Tray Rollers

Step 1

Turn off your printer and unplug all the cables. Let it cool down completely before starting the cleaning process. Now, pull out the printer paper tray and try to locate the rollers on the tray. Each printer roller is either black or gray in color and they are made up of rubber. Gently remove the rollers from the tray.

On HP inkjet printers, rollers are not located on the paper tray but are available inside the printer on the area where the paper tray slides into the printing machine. Slowly remove the tray and place the printer straight,

Octa Core VS Quad Core Which to Choose

Octa Core VS Quad CoreThe past year was all about several smartphones competing with each other for the best possible offering in terms of specs and features? Every smartphone player worked hard to up their game and accordingly, one of the most important specifications, the processor, came into the limelight. People were vying to beat each other and so, as an improvement on dual cores, the latest smartphones started coming out with quad core processors. However, today, with people obsessed with more power and speed, even quad core doesn’t seem to be enough, as several brands are competing with each other to release octa core powered handsets. So, while the battle of the cores seems to be never ending, users are confused. Is an octa core device really better than a quad core one? How can one decide on which device to put his money?

The answer isn’t as obvious as one may think because as several smartphone reviews will tell you, more isn’t always better. Going by the plain math that is visible, users may feel that an octa core processor is bound to better than, or maybe

Seven Reasons Why Inkjet Printers Are The Best In The Business

Posted on May 18, 2016 By

Inkjet PrintersExperts consider inkjet coders as the most coveted solution for businesses, which desire high-quality printing of crucial codes to meet their goals. Inkjet coders produce superior results by expelling thousands of ink droplets on a material. Due to this ‘drop on demand’ mechanism, the quality of the print is top-notch.

Drop on demand (DOD) printing is of two types: Piezoelectric and Thermal. In Piezoelectric DOD, the cartridges contain piezoelectric materials that generate a pressure pulse to propel the fluid when a voltage passes through the chamber. In thermal DOD, the cartridges contain heaters that vaporize the ink and push it out when a voltage passes through the chamber. While both these types follow similar processes, piezoelectric cartridges last longer as they do not use heat.

Are you wondering whether you should invest in these machines or not? Here are seven reasons to help you understand why these coders are best suited for you:

1. Easily Available: They are the most common commercial coders. This is good news for consumers; they can easily find cost-effective basic models as well as high-end business models.

2. Affordable: The

Why Are Cooling Fans So Important for Electronic Cabinets

Posted on May 18, 2016 By

Cooling Fans So Important for Electronic CabinetsHave you ever felt lethargic, out of breath, and exhausted on a scorching hot day? Perhaps you had been running and giving everything you got within you to perform magnificently while the sun beats down upon your back. After a few laps you start to feel fatigued and in need of a cool breeze. This is exactly how your electronics feel when cooped up in a cabinet without any air circulation.

Unlike you, who is capable of getting some fresh air and an ice-cold beverage, your electronics, must continue working at peak performance even when they are overheating. Eventually, their inner workings will give up and they will succumb to meltdown due to inefficient airflow and overheating. Where does that leave you?

It leaves you having to break your bank account in order to replace these expensive electronics and it leaves you inconvenienced and behind on any projects that you need your electronics for. This is why having adequate airflow via electronic cooling fans installed inside of your cabinets is essential.

4 Things Everyone Needs to Know About Network Time Servers

Posted on May 18, 2016 By

Network Time ServersTo some, the topic of a network time server may not be a part of our daily lexicon, but rather a phrase more commonly used by the techies of the world. Yet, our entire modern world relies on the concept of network time. Regardless of whether you are an experienced server technician, or only a beginner this article will explain the five things that everyone needs to know about network time servers, and why we need them.

1. What a Network Time Server Is

A time server exists inside every computer, laptop, and even smartphone that you own and helps maintain accurate time on these devices. Accurate time does not necessarily mean simply the time that is displayed on your computer or phone’s clock feature, but rather the time that the entire computer system runs on.

For instance, consider running some program that sends information to another program and tells it what to do. In order for tasks to be completed correctly, commands need to be received and carried out in a specific order, which requires accurate

Renew Your Old ComputerWhat happens when you have an old, poor performing computer which sucks your time and create frustration every day? Here are 7 ways in which you can make the best of it.

1. Upgrade

Did you just install a software or game, and your computer is crawling while loading them?

Yes, it’s probably a very good to spend some money, and upgrade that tortoise. It’s definitely one of the best ways to speed up the old computer with minimum cost.

While it’s not always possible to do an upgrade, especially for laptops, you should still be able to upgrade its RAM and hard disk drive. RAM, also known as PC memory, can give you an extra boost in performance. And upgrading your hard disk to a solid state drive is another way to do it – not only will it boot up faster, your applications will perform better as well.

Just these two minor upgrades will keep your computer fresh and faster.

2. Steroids for CPU

While some computers don’t have the option to upgrade their processor unit and graphics

LED Vs LCD Computer Monitors

Posted on April 18, 2016 By

LED Vs LCD Computer MonitorsExcept for one LED (Light Emitting Diode) computer monitor I am typing on right now I’ve never had a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) computer monitor last over 5 years. The LED monitors are usually 15″ and very expensive for their size in the range of $500 to $900. My 15″ square LED monitor cost $400 around 10 years ago but is still going strong. My 25″ wide screen LCD monitor just went black on me after 3 years so I’m faced with picking between another LCD with better image quality or an LED that is much more reliable.

I’ve seen LED monitors in larger sizes but a quality LED monitor in a larger size is very expensive. You can get off brand LED monitors for a lot less but they use cheap electronic components so their reliability wouldn’t be that great. All the LCD monitors and monitors I’ve owned in the past before the flat panel LCDs have only lasted 3 to 5 years then “Poof” they go black.

Flat panel T.V. sets use the same technology as computer screens as far as “Backlit

Finding a Better Mouse

Posted on April 18, 2016 By

Finding a Better MouseSeveral years ago, I found myself wanting a better mouse. My computer at the time was a Mac Pro provided by my employer, and the aluminum keyboard and Mighty Mouse that came with it were downright awful. The laptop-style, low profile keyboard was terrible to type on and the mouse had a tiny ball for scrolling, which would get gummed up very easily.

At first, I simply traded them in for a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set which I used for quite some time. It was a basic rubber dome keyboard and standard wireless optical mouse. They were okay. They worked. Ultimately, I wanted something better.

I noticed that my boss would try out other mice, but ultimately return to his old trackball. He explained that it was more ergonomic and he found it easier to use. Unfortunately, the model he used had long been discontinued and regularly sold for over $300 on eBay. Too rich for me. But I figured there must be some modern equivalents.

So I went on a search. My initial requirements were simple. It needed to cost less

Internet And Computers* Era without the internet:

In past years, communication from the outside world was not easy, but today, it is made possible using the most useful tools such as the computer and the internet. Some people communicate with their fellows and friends, while some people surf the internet, buy things, and some have adopted making websites as their profession and make it as a part of their business. The Internet allows people to compose, send and receive messages conveniently, and at any time, with ease, they can communicate, rather than visit a post office and write a letter.

* Depth Views about the Internet:

The Internet is a means of connecting one computer to other computers throughout the world using routers and servers. When two computers are connected using the internet, they can share information, like text, graphics, pictures, audio video, and can send and receive messages instantly and with convenience. No one owns the internet; however, several organizations in the world are taking part in this development and functioning. The backbones of the internet are fiber

ASUS VG248QE Monitor Review

Posted on March 18, 2016 By

The ASUS VG248QE Monitor adopts the latest ‘ROG SWIFT’ styling, with slender bezels. Its stand features the novel ‘Light In Motion’ red ring that surrounds the neck of the stand and the ROG motif too, as was evident on PG27AQ. It is also equipped with a joystick or JOG button that intuitively regulates the On Screen Display menu system. The stand of this monitor is adjustable, with swivel, tilt, pivot and height modes.

The ASUS VG248QE possibly incorporates the customary AU Optronics M240HW01 V8 as there is no suitable alternate. It comes with a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, TN or Twisted Nematic panel type, as also a matte screen surface that handles glare effectively. With VG248QE, this is overclocked to an excellent 180Hz and in tandem with G-SYNC 30 to 80Hz), do away with tearing and stuttering from the rather conventional frame, as well as possible refresh rate mismatches on Nvidia GPUs.

There is also a WLED backlight with a typical maximum imbalance of 350 cd/m². All these go to make the monitor flicker-free also. By providing

What Is a Network Adapter

Posted on March 18, 2016 By

Network AdapterIn order for a computer to connect to a network, a component known as a network interface card (NIC) is required to provide the physical connection to the local network media. Although there used to be quite a number of local area network media types and data link layer systems, we are down to just a handful today. The most common of these are an Ethernet network using Unshielded Twisted Pair Cable as the connection medium and Wireless LANS (WLANS) which transmit radio signals in the microwave range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Computers normally have some form of expansion card containing the network interface controllers that are plugged into one of a number of different types of computer bus. Most desktop computers to date had a network card that fitted into a PCI slot. PCI stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect and was originally developed my Intel, but is now a standard used by almost all manufacturers that produce peripheral devices for connectivity with a computer.

As Ethernet has been the dominant Data Link Layer standard for Local Area Networks for some time, Ethernet Network Interface Cards have

How Do We Define a Computer Data Network

Posted on February 18, 2016 By

Computer Data NetworkA computer data network is comprised of a number of components, including the computers and other associated network attached devices. The computers and other peripherals are usually connected to each other through a network switch or hub and by means of copper electrical connections, fibre or by means of wireless.

The hubs or switches normally provide local connectivity for the computer devices, in what is normally referred to as a LAN (Local Area Network). LANs are normally interconnected by means of routing devices, whether they are in a private network or indeed the Public Internet. The purpose of a computer data network is one of sharing and collaboration, where resources are made available by some of the devices on the network for use by other devices.

In Peer-to-Peer networks, individual devices offer resources to other peers on the network, but there is no central control of these resources. Each peer can offer resources such as disk space, files, or even processing power.

The Client Server network model clearly distinguishes between client devices and server devices. All clients, or selected clients can have access to resources

Types of Wireless Networks

Posted on February 18, 2016 By

Types of Wireless NetworksIn the early days of computers, networking was reserved for technophiles. Homes rarely had more than one. Today, however, home computers are used for everything from email and schoolwork to TV, gaming and social media. The rising popularity of handheld devices is making the wireless network even more essential. Being informed about the various types of connections possible will help consumers make a better choice about the type of network that is the right for them.

The first type of wireless network is the Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). A WPAN is created by the interconnection of two devices that are in relative proximity to each other. Typically, the two devices are within an arms length of each other. An example of this is the communication between a television and its remote. An infrared light connects the two, allowing the remote to change the channel. Other examples include the connection between a keyboard and a computer and the connection between a Bluetooth and a cell phone.

Another type of wireless network that is commonly used is the Wireless Local Area Network (LAN). Two or more

Five Considerations for Realistic Network Synergy Savings

Posted on February 18, 2016 By

Network Synergy SavingsA primary reason for merger and acquisition or rival companies in the telecommunications industry is to achieve cost savings. One source for those savings comes from the network integration of both companies’ owned and leased network assets and expenses. These is a plethora of options to eliminate redundant network costs, but buyers of companies are often too optimistic in their expected synergy savings. As a result, they often failed to achieve their initial savings target. This article explains why many of these mergers failed to achieve their financial goals and what you can do to improve them.

There are many methods to identify network savings. Although there is no set rule for identifying network synergy savings, a general method is to group network savings by optimization types or by geographies after eliminating redundant savings.

Unfortunately, this popular process of identifying network synergy savings fails to address key issues. There are five additional considerations before investing capital to acquire a company.

Consideration 1: Coordination of Multiple Optimization Projects – Some optimization projects aim to eliminate different parts of

Installing a Wireless Network Adapter

Posted on February 18, 2016 By

Installing a Wireless Network AdapterToday’s computers are usually built with a Wireless Network Adapter (WNA) that gives the device the capability to connect to a network wirelessly. However, for a computer that is being built from scratch, a WNA is usually purchased separately and installed into the computer manually.

For a computer that has been bought off the shelf, the following steps would determine if a WNA has already been installed into the system:

1) Click Start > “Control Panel” > “Network and Internet Connections.”

2) Click on “Network Connections” under the Control Panel icon.

3) In Windows XP, all the network adapters are listed on the Network Connections window of which the Wireless Network adapters are labelled as “Wireless Network Connection.”

Under “Wireless Network Connection,” If an installed adapter shows a red X, then it is not connected. If the Network Connections window is blank, then the purchased computer does not have a WNA installed.

Without such a device, the user would not be able to set up or connect to a network such as the internet wirelessly. This would mean that WNA

IP Addressing And NetworkingNETWORKING BASICS

A network can be defined as the interconnection of autonomous computers linked together to facilitate communication while networking is the simple concept of connected computers.

Networks and networking have grown exponentially over the last 15years; they have evolved at light speed just to keep up with huge increases in basic critical user needs such as sharing data and printers, as well as more advanced demands such as video conferencing.

A LAN (Local Area Network) is a group of computers and network devices connected together, usually within the same building. A Local Area Network (LAN) is a high-speed communication system designed to link computers and other data processing devices together within a small geographical area, such as a workgroup, department, or building. Local Area Networks implement shared access technology. This means that all the devices attached to the LAN share a single communications medium, usually a coaxial, twisted pair or fibre optic cable.

Metropolitan area networks or MANs are large computer networks usually spanning a city or
